Video Score: four / five
Of course, ha, ha. I learned to swim front crawl about a year ago and after 3 weeks of classes I barely could swim half the length of the swimming pool which is 25m. It took me 30 seconds so don’t worry. After 3-4 months of 1 hour per day training you can make 25m in 25 seconds.
I never point fingers to the bottom of the pull since I injured my wrist. I always point it diagonally and that way my pull is stronger.
Before exiting the hand from the water rotate palm for 90 degrees so that palm faces your body. The arm that way exits with the smallest finger first. That way is the best otherwise you can injured your shoulder.
Hey man, I going to start taking swimming classes next week. I need to prepare for joining the Navy. The physical tests require that I swim 25 meters in 50 seconds. The tests will be 3-4 months from now. Do you think I can make it?
Stop flirting you whore!
thanks man – these vids are great. too bad you’re not in the States!
Depending on which pace you’re swimming, you can burn a lot.
This video is AMAZING … Thanks a lot for you really great support… I also have a question… does swimming really burn real calories as running???
You are very cute
I’ve always been jealous of swimmers who can constantly move from one end of the pool to the other without stopping. This video will give me the tools I need to become a more efficient swimmer in the pool. Thanks!
thanks anyway. There is this product named” helpo growth formula” that i ve been using it for weeks, and actually can see the difference when i look into the mirror. Hopefully i will get over 6ft
makes you appear longer, leaner and you could say to some extent if you swim front crawl very intensively but going to the pool for 45 minutes of messing around 20 laps of half asked breast stroke won’t make you significantly taller.
Does swimming regularly make you grow taller?
This is really helpful!!! thanks!!
What causes me disappointed with this video is just that it doesn’t give display and explanation of the other strokes : butterfly, breast and backstroke as mentioned in the video title. Mr. Brenton Ford, where can I see your video of these strokes other than freestyle, esp. butterfly and breaststroke ? Btw… thank you, I have downloaded almost all your videos of freestyle, including flip turn technique.
Releasing the water from the hand is a small flick of the hands as they exit the water.
i think that he is referring to the cutting of the water as your hand exits rather than to continue the pull as it exits.
could not understand what it means by “release the water from hand.”Aren’t we supposed to push water upto upper thigh and then recover?I was tatught to push parallel to wall one is coming from i.e thinking as if slapping the wall one is coming from.
excellent! – Thanks
this video was done very well! I’m impressed.
You don’t want to pull like an S shape pattern manually. When pulling water in straight line with bent elbow off course, your body will rotate and it will automatically create an S shape pattern. Body roll with steady head position is an essential part of freestyle.
Thank you soo much for the AWESOME video. This gives me a much better mental image of how to swim the freestyle in the water. I never knew you were supposed to rotate the shoulders.
fantastic! learn something new that was unclear in other videos
